Unschool of Art: Go Wild (ages 8–14)
The Unschool of Art is a Saturday afternoon group for children aged 8–14, running in blocks of five or six weeks throughout the year. This block — Go Wild — runs for five sessions from Saturday 19 September through to 17 October, 2pm to 3.30pm, at The Art Room in Redruth. Each block introduces different materials and techniques, from drawing and painting to printmaking and clay, but the approach here is deliberately open. Teachers follow what children are trying to do rather than sticking to a lesson plan, introducing new skills when they become useful rather than just because they're scheduled. Sessions are booked as a block (£80 for five weeks) rather than individually.
