UPON: Landscape Art at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens
UPON marks the culmination of Newlyn School of Art's Professional Landscape Programme, running across three days from 18 to 20 September at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens on the outskirts of Penzance. The exhibition explores the many ways artists respond to place and landscape, with work spanning painting, sculpture, textiles, sound and film. Tremenheere's distinctive gardens — threaded through with permanent artworks and set against a Cornish hillside — make a natural and fitting backdrop for art so directly concerned with the land.
