Voka Gentle live in Falmouth
Voka Gentle are William J. Stokes and twins Imogen and Ellie Mason — a trio of producer-performers whose songs draw on motorik electronics, intricate psychedelia, heavy guitar textures and experimental sound design. Having honed their sound across three albums, the band have opened for the Flaming Lips in London and collaborated with Flaming Lips bandleader Wayne Coyne, who appeared as a guest vocalist on their album WRITHING! — described by Bombay Bicycle Club's Jack Steadman as "the kind of album I wish that I had made". They were subsequently invited to contribute remixes to the expanded edition of Reset by Animal Collective's Panda Bear and Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom, who then invited the band to open their last UK show at London's Heaven. Sonic Boom also contributed a remix for Voka Gentle's latest album Domestic Bliss — described by The Quietus as "horror and beauty occupying the same frame" — their first record since signing to London label state51. An accompanying remix EP features contributions from Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, clipping.'s Jonathan Snipes, Hidden Orchestra and others. They play The Cornish Bank, Falmouth on Friday 20 November 2026 at 8pm.
