Walk Talk Kernow — Hayle Memorial Walk
Walk Talk Kernow brings together people who are bereaved in a simple, supportive setting — outdoors, moving gently, and in good company. This free group walk follows the King George V Memorial Walk in Hayle, setting off from Gilberts Beach Bar and Kitchen at 10am and finishing back there for refreshments by noon. The route is around two miles on a flat, well-surfaced path, with a choice of tarmac or a woodland loop on the return. It's designed as an amble rather than a ramble, though it's not suitable for wheelchair users or those with significant mobility difficulties. Suitable footwear and clothing are recommended, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. The group is led by Cornwall Hospice volunteers, identifiable by their lanyards. Parking is available free of charge beside Hayle Swimming Pool. If the weather turns, call 01726 829874 to confirm the walk is going ahead before you set out.
